Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar
1 small cabbage, shredded (6 cups)
1/4 cup white vinegar
2 tbsp. Fresh juice vinegar
1/2 cup prepared mustard
1/4 cup chopped sweet pickles
1/4 tsp. salt
Directions:
Combine first 5 ingredients, stir with a wire whisk until the sugar dissolves.
Combine cabbage and pickles, add dressing and toss gently.
Chill 1 hour.
Enjoy!

salad recipes Apple Manchego Salad Recipe
Ingredients:
3 large Granny Smith apples
7 medium cloves garlic, peeled and left whole
12 tablespoons sherry vinegar
1 tablespoon chopped shallots
5 oz Manchego cheese
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oi
1 cup whole raw nuts
2 tablespoons chopped chives
Salt and pepper
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 º F.
Walnuts evenly over a baking tray and bake for 10 minutes, until toasted and fragrant.
Cool.
In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil and garlic together, turning every so often, until garlic is golden on all sides, about 5 minutes in total.
Adjust the garlic oil mixture and let cool.
Once the oil cools, pour the oil and garlic in a blender and add the sherry vinegar and shallots.
Season with salt and pepper and puree until smooth.
(This can be done in advance, refrigerate until ready to assemble the salad.)
Manchego cheese cut into 1 / 4 “at matches.
Place in a large bowl with chopped chives.
Core the apples (no skin) and cut into 1 / 4 “at matches.
Add to the bowl with the cheese and chives.
Sprinkle the toasted almonds over the salad.
Pour the dressing over the top and toss until the salad is well coated with dressing and apples, cheese and nuts are evenly distributed.
